On the 29th of July, Mikis Theodorakis, Mikis of the pan-hellenic and of the world, is going to celebrate his 85th birthday. He was born in Chios on July 29th to a Cretan father and a mother from Smyrna. In order to celebrate this significant occasion, many accomplished older and new artists have joined forces to put up a concert which will be presented as a birthday gift to Mikis, on Thursday the 29th of July, at 21:00, at the Lycabettus Theatre, which, from time to time has hosted innumerous but glorious moments of his musical creations.
All time favorites, popular songs from his wonderful and never ending source of great and invaluable offer, full of memories and emotion, will light up like candles on a birthday cake, to remind everyone of the long journey of the composer, the politician, the thinker, the human being, Mikis Theodorakis.
This one of a kind event, which is an expression of respect and love, is sure to offer rare moments of emotion and excitement to those who will attend and will be a part of the big celebration for Mikis Theodorakis’ 85th birthday. The culinary art of Stelios Parliaros, will sweeten the eternal youth of the 85 year old Mikis Theodorakis.
