„Geschichten sind wie Samenkörner, die ich in mir trage - manche von ihnen wachsen“, sagt Isabel Allende. 1942 als Tochter eines chilenischen Diplomaten in Peru geboren, zählt sie zu den bekanntesten Schriftstellerinnen der Welt. Nach Pinochets Militärputsch ging sie nach Venezuela ins Exil, wo sie ihren Weltbestseller „Das Geisterhaus“ schrieb. Ihr eigenes Leben und das ihrer Familie waren dabei immer wieder Stoff für ihre Romane. Mit der Journalistin Christiane von Korff spricht sie über ihr künstlerisches und privates Leben.
„Stories are like seeds in my belly, some of them start to grow“, says Isabel Allende. 1942 born as the daughter of a chilean diplomat she belongs to the most famous writers of the world. After Pinochet’s military coup, which led to the fall of her oncle Salvador Allende, she went into exile to Venezuela. There she wrote her bestseller „The House of the Spirits“. Her own life and that of her family was often back material for her novels. With journalist Christiane von Korff, she speaks about her artistic and personal life.

William C. Gordon, 1937 in Südkalifornien geboren, studierte Englische Literatur und absolvierte ein Jurastudium in San Francisco, wo er auch als Anwalt tätig war. Er ist mit der Schriftstellerin Isabel Allende verheiratet. Die machte aus seiner Lebensgeschichte einen Roman: „Der unendliche Plan“. Inzwischen ist William C. Gordon selbst ein erfolgreicher Autor. Seine Krimis „Missgeburt“ (the Ugly Dwarf), „Der Tote im Smoking“ (The Chinese Jars) und Gift (King of the Bottom) erscheinen in zehn Ländern. Im Gespräch mit der Journalistin Christiane von Korff erzählt er, wie er zum Schriftsteller wurde.
William C. Gordon, born 1937 in South California, studied English Literature and law in San Francisco, where he worked as an attorney. He is married to Isabel Allende, who turned his life into the novel „The infinite Plan“.Meanwhile, William C. Gordon himself is a successful author. His mysteries „the Ugly dwarf“, „the Chinese Jars“ and „King of the Bottom“ appear in ten countries. In an interview with journalist Christiane von Korff, he tells how he became a writer of suspense novels.
